Resident Ducks

This is the newest couple to take up residence in the neighborhood. A park full of ducks, geese, and other feathered friends is only one block away, but these two have been settling in on a different lawn on the street everyday for the past week, cruising down the street and sidewalks on their webbed feet...they are quite social. I am thinking about asking them over for a dinner party...guessing we would have to serve a poultry free dish and brush up on our quacking skills. Posted by Picasa

How fitting that they are "DUCKS"........about time you got more ducks in your life.

Birds...they're dinosaurs. I don't get them. So, the birds should be showing up here in Alaska soon. This is scary because they are expected to bring H5N1. Alaska is the projected gateway for avian flu into the AMERICAS. Scary. I live next to one of the largest migratory bird sanctuaries in the area.
